Similar to burning resins on charcoal tablets, smudge cups already include an amount of natural resin or botanicals set in the indentation of each charcoal cup, ready to burn.HOW TO USE Just hold a flame to the rim of the cup and once it is ignited work your way around the rest of the rim until the charcoal is gently glowing and continuing to spread its heat over the rest of the cup (this may take a minute or two). Carefully place the cup onto the included metal plate – best burned on a heatproof dish, censer or smudge pot as the charcoal will become red hot during use.As the cup heats up, the resins will naturally release their fragrant smoke, cleansing your space and creating a naturally soothing atmosphere.
